Wine & Roses Bar established 2005
Wine & Roses Bar was the first intimate small wine bar in New York City established in 2005, and it’s widely credited with kickstarting the wine bar boom that later spread across the U.S. and Canada. The award winning bar quickly became a must-visit destination—drawing celebrities and renowned chefs from around the country to experience the new concept firsthand. Before long, hundreds of wine bars were springing up across the country and even established restaurants were adding “wine bar” to their awnings to ride the wave.
In 2011 Jennifer created a cocktail bar and restaurant across the street from Wine & Roses named The Dakota Bar.
